This page explains how FigureNerd corrects mistakes, how we handle links that earn us money, and where our editorial line sits. This page is about independence and accountability: what happens when we get something wrong, and what does and does not influence what a calculator page says.
If a calculator's formula, a cited figure, or an article claim is wrong, we want to know. Use the contact form and tell us which page and what looks off. The page-URL field on that form exists for exactly this, so include it when you can.
Every message that comes through the contact form is read. When a correction checks out against the primary source, we fix the page and update its "Last reviewed" date, the same stamp described on the Methodology page. We do not quietly edit a number without moving that date. A documented example of this process: an early version of our HVAC sizing formula recommended cooling capacity for the wrong climate, caught during our own review and corrected in the calculator's build notes, exactly the kind of fix this policy commits to for anything a reader flags too.
A few pages on this site link to outside services, like business formation or registered agent providers. We link to a partner only after checking that its pricing is disclosed upfront and its service does what it claims. Some of these links are affiliate links, which may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you.
That relationship never changes which calculator result you see. A calculator's output is the same number whether or not you ever click an affiliate link on the page, and whether or not that provider pays us anything at all.
No company pays us to appear in a calculator's results, to be named as a recommended provider, or to influence a formula. If a link on a page happens to be an affiliate link, that is disclosed above, not hidden, and it is still never the reason the link is there in the first place.
Our monthly newsletter is a roundup of new calculators, nothing else. We do not rent or sell the list, and every email carries a working unsubscribe link. Full detail on what we collect and how it is used is in the Privacy Policy.
